Join Judge Steve Duble of Harris County Justice Court, Precinct 1, Place 2, and Andre Davison, Director of the Harris County Robert W. Hainsworth Law Library, for an engaging session on an innovative, replicable model for community-centered legal access. The newly launched Legal Resource Center at the Harris County Courthouse Annex #2 serves as a beacon of equitable justice, providing free, multilingual, and user-friendly legal information to self-represented litigants navigating eviction, small claims, and debt collection matters.

Attendees will learn how this pioneering collaboration — funded by the Texas Bar Foundation — connects vulnerable communities to legal knowledge through curated materials, pro bono virtual consultations, and technology-enhanced tools. Presenters will explore how courts and libraries can partner to reduce barriers, expand community engagement, and reimagine what access to justice looks like for the most underserved populations. This session will highlight how localized innovation can serve as a powerful response to the justice crisis affecting low-income individuals, especially in neighborhoods of persistent poverty.
