About me
As an attorney with Texas RioGrande Legal Aid (TRLA) since 1993, Mary Christine Reed has assisted low-income clients with a broad range of legal problems, including a frequent focus on issues impacting youth and families. Ms. Reed currently serves as the Economic & Social Justice Group Coordinator and oversees several legal practice areas, including youth legal issues. With a long-held interest in low-income Texans access the court system, Ms. Reed has addressed issues involving Statements of Inability to Pay Costs (formerly known as Affidavits of Indigency and Pauper’s Affidavits) in many counties of Texas and worked with other advocates and state and local officials on court access.
