2025 Poverty Law Conference

This session will discuss the current state of Disaster Law/Services today. We will look at current administrative developments to FEMA as well as other federal disaster programs, such as CDBG/CDBG-DR. We will also examine the role climate change plays in the size and scope of disaster. Advocates also will be advised on their ethical responsibility to remain apprised of the current state of law and their duty to clients. Finally, we will discuss strategies for advocacy for today's natural disasters.
