Across vast stretches of rural Texas, low-income residents face civil legal crises alone—without local lawyers and without the resources to hire help from afar. These are Texas’s legal deserts, where justice is effectively out of reach for many, if not most, residents. This session takes a close look at what the data reveals—often exposing hidden gaps and overlooked communities—and explores how to use that information to drive meaningful change and close the justice gap.
